The A(H1N1) Influenza

This is a world issues since year 2009. The Influenza A(H1N1) virus is a subtype of influenza virus A and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans. Some strains of H1N1 are endemic in human and cause a small fraction of all influenza-like-illness and a large fraction of all seasonal influenza. H1N1 strains caused roughly half of all human flu infections in 2006. Other strains of H1N1 are endemic in pigs (swine influenza) and in birds (avian influenza).

I'm very sad to heard that Malaysia have 1 more case of dead because of H1N1 at the moment of every Malaysian are celebrate the 52th National day. The overall dead cases until today is about 72 cases. In the pass 24 hours, 202 new patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) have been admitted to hospitals for treatment, while 285 have been discharged.

So, now the overall of H1N1 patients is about 1515 which each located at 97 different hospitals in Malaysia.

From the starting of Infuenza A(H1N1), i can see that many people are wearing mask. Although sometime we are not get sick, we also need to wear mask to prevent this type virus. Below is an example:

Our coursemate Wai San is wearing the mask when attending the MCC workshop last few week.

In our university, each school keep giving us the mask to prevent the virus. They keep mention us about the dangerous of this type virus.

H1N1 are high risked to those who are:
  1. Pregnant and babies.
  2. Fat people, obsess.
  3. Senior citizen
  4. Asthma patients.
  5. People with low immune system.
I hope that everyone can keep caution to this virus. We can prevent it by keep washing our hand and wearing the mask. Besides that, please stay at home if you are get sick!!!!....
